    Hi All,

I was wondering who out there is working on new door games?

I'm working on a couple, a trading game and a SRE type game. Both are still
in progress but you can see some basic versions on my bbs. They will be OpenSource, once I have finished a decent version and get it to compile on
    more than win32.

Anyway, I'd love to see what anyone else is working on..

    Sounds interesting.
A couple years ago, I started working on a multiplayer Scrabble-like door
game. I haven't worked on it in quite a while though, and I should probably get back to it. The part I need to work on most is the multi-node capabilities.

    Hi All,

I was wondering who out there is working on new door games?

I had written a Barron Realms Elite clone waaaay back in the day. It was, in my
opinion, way better than BRE because it was InterBBS Live meaning the connections and the transfer of packets were instant because all the bbs's connected to the BRE clone server, but since that has been about 8 years, i don't even remember the name of it...

I might have to dust off some of my older stuff and write some 32 bit door games.

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas of some good door games that we can create
that would work between a bunch of bbs's and actually be fun to play?? I'd be glad to assist in a project like that.

It's hard coming up with ideas, especially new ones. That's why I figured I'd try and clone a game I like and then add to it.

Now that I'm getting the BBS back up and running, i think i am going to come up with some ideas and build a new game.. something familiar but
something different... I mean, now that we have tons of bandwidth for ansi, im sure we could come up with some ideas for some pretty cool graphically
    intense ansi games...

Arcade type games rather than D&D and board games...

Hmmm... gonna have to think and come up with some ideas...

Are there still door frameworks out there like their used to be?

I don't know, maybe if you live in the USA. I tried playing this chicken
arcade game on Cyberia BBS (I think?) and the latency made it impossible.

I'm using OpenDoors, you can get it from the Synchronet CVS repositiory. It supports Door32.sys and telnet and compiles on Linux, BSD, Windows and apparently DOS. It's in C.

I have just published an initial version of my new game "Doubles." It's basically an ansified clone of "2048," written in Synchronet JS (so it's only for Synch BBSes).

It consists of a 4x4 grid of tiles. You slide them using arrow keys, and tiles with the same numbers will combine. It can be pretty addictive.

If you want to check it out, download it here: http://github.com/kirkman/doubles

I'd welcome any feedback you have. Keep in mind it's a work in progress, but it is definitely playable, and features an inter-BBS scoreboard.
