• .mutil error

    From doctor wade@21:3/105 to All on Mon Jul 19 11:51:16 2021
    I am attempting to install mys12a46_i64 on a Kubuntu 21.04 VM. Everything appears to be installed correctly but I am having an issue running ./mutil importna.ini file. I have edited the importna.ini file to reflect my node number and have set
    [General]
    Import_FIDONET.NA = true

    Mutil reports an error of "Cannot find NA file" when I run ./mutil
    importna.ini
    Anyone care to shove me in the right direction to find a solution?

    This part is good:

    [General]
    Import_FIDONET.NA = true
    loglevel=3 <-- You may want to up your log level while troubleshooting

    If you scroll further down in that file there should be a section:

    [Import_FIDONET.NA]

    filename = fsxnet.na
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    This is the filename it's searching for, it can be anything. If there's no path it will search in the main Mystic directory.

    lowercase_filename = 1

    netaddress = 1:1/1
    acs_list =
    [snip]

    If you want to post your importna.ini (without all the comments) that could help us point you in the right direction as well.

    This is what got me! The importna.ini I downloaded from Avon had the
    filename as FSXNET.NA while the actual file from the fsxnet.zip package is lower case fsxnet.na. I forget sometimes that Linux is particular concerning case. Thanks for sorting that out for me!

    I should probably be changing all of these in the infopack to lower case to make it easier for all who will follow in your footsteps. I wonder if I did this if it would cause more probs than fix others?

    It will probably help -- myself, I edited mutil.ini and made sure that all filenames were uppercase (as they probably "should" be, from old software producing these), and also disabled all lowercase options. :-D

    Best regards

    It worked great for my RPi build and my Win10 build as is. I have used Linux for years and know better to not check for upper/lower case. Total brain fart on my part.

    Looks like when I moved the 1/100 HUB to Linux I did change file names in the infopack to lower case... then forgot I'd done that :)
