Lucky YOU@!! I am still waiting for mine.. Maybe sometime this year!!
It is really, really nice.
Have seen today that there are 4 open TCP Ports.
telnet and FTP are clear.
Additionally you have port 3333 to program the ESP32 (which is not yet connected to the FPGA via software)
and port 64, where you can remotely control the ultimate 64 via an API.
I have also activated the virtual parallel cable, and I can use
DolphinDOS 2 to achieve really, really high drive speeds ;)
Also nice to have HDMI and a regular 12V power supply ...

Also nice to have HDMI and a regular 12V power supply ...Keep rubbing it in!!!!
I really can't wait now!!
Hi Bucko!
;)
BTW you can also set the U64 Menu to be displayed picture in picture
into the C64 output ;)
I really can't wait now!!
I am holding my fingers crossed that you get it quickly.
When did you pay?
I haven't paid yet, Gideon said he would notify me when he was ready
to start shipping then it would get paid then. I order on 12/9/18 so I
am guessing I won't get notification till probably April.. :(
Hi Bucko!
OK ... you are in the next batch then.
Anyways ... enjoy the anticipation!

I run a Commodore BBS 2 actually both Image BBS 1 -1.2b and a 2.x
board, I want to put the 2.x on real hardware because I want it to
have a file base
I have a uIEC/sd waiting to go..
Hi Bucko!
I do not think that the ultimate 64 supports incoming connections as of yet. Currently you can use telnet anf FTP to access the ultimate 64 itself. On port 64 you can remote controll the ultimate 64.
You can use the command interface to make outgoing network connections. (eg. Ultimate Term and Ultimate IRC, but the software has to be written
to support the ultimate 64)
And later you will have the ESP32 swiftlinke mulation, but this is not
yet done.
I have a uIEC/sd waiting to go..
There is also a sd2iec like drive activateable on the ultimate.
(but you need to add .prg to the files, otherwise it will make them SEQ files.

I'm not too worried about the telnet with it as I have a swiftlink
Thanks for all the info...

You need the yet unreleased external userport thingy.
Currently the userport pins are only available on some internal pins. Instead of the userport there are 2 USB, 1 ethernet and one HDMI port in the place of the userport.
Actually, my Swiftlink goes into the Cartridge port, so no need for
the user port. :)
Hi Bucko!
As you see I have no clue about the Swiftlink ;)
BTW. I read something today from Gideon that might interest you:
"I am sifting through the orders, to get a good view on what to ship to whom and in what order. The production is ongoing; the PCBs are nearly done, assembly will start in about 1-2 weeks. So I expect the Batch 4 to be ready in the first weeks of April."
Got mine last week, didn't set it up till last night and tonight..
I know what is wrong with me! I wanted to wait for the brackets and getting a case..
This thing is AWESOME!!
I just tonight installed Jiffy Dos Rom,
a 16 meg Ram Drive, and a 1541 drive because I felt like it..
I had asked somebody to 3d print the brackets in advance, and had a case already, but it was still laying around for over 1 week here as well ;))
This thing is AWESOME!!
Indeed!
I just tonight installed Jiffy Dos Rom,
You can also use DolphinDOS 2. (You need to enable the virtual parallel cable) It is incredibly fast, and overall GREAT.
a 16 meg Ram Drive, and a 1541 drive because I felt like it..
You can have 2 emulated 1541s and also a printer.
You can play NUVIE videos (from REU) and also SIDs.

The Ram Drive is turning out to be tougher then I thought it would
be... Can't seem to get it to open up so I can save on it.. Driving me nuts! Installed everything correctly, going to try an 8 meg unit now
and see what that does.. Hopefully, it will work.. Cause 16 megs
ain't! LOl
??? Ram Drive???
Do you mean the REU (RAM Expansion Unit)
The Ultimate64 or 1541 Ultimate can emulate a REU.
Yup a Ram Drive, I have setup the REU to have a 8 meg Ram Drive which
acts as a 8 meg drive.
I am using the CMD RamDrive .crt file to do this..
I had downloaded a modified .crt of the Ram Drive cartridge which
allowed the full 16 megs but it won't allow me to edit the reu file it creates. Once I have everything set I will post.. :)
Hi Bucko!
What software are you using to make the Ram Drive?
I am using the CMD RamDrive .crt file to do this..
Where did you download the CRT files?
I have never heared of those.
Would be interested to get hold of them.
CU, Ricsi
Hi Ricsi.. I am using a 8k customer crt file.. Found at: https://csdb.dk/release/download.php?id=218954 https://csdb.dk/release/download.php?id=211611
It works pretty well, actually when I dropped it down to 8megs it
worked perfect. I have turned it off for now because I am tracking a
bad Swiftlink cartridge. I picked it up in December from gglabs and
never used it till this weekend and it sends rs232 break messages non stop. So I am waiting for a message back from gglabs.. Once I find out about that I will finish putting my new/old BBS together and and work
on copying all of the program and system files over to a ram drive for speed.. We'll see how this goes...
Can you add Ultimate IRC to chat within Image BBS now that ACIA is
available on
the ethernet port? O in other words, if programmed as a PFile, would mIRC capabilities work from the Ultimate 64 with Image as an option?
Thanks!

Ahh I knew about the incoming line but thought that since it is using ethernet,
it might be able the functionality since it is not trnaslating through a medium like a BBS server and straight through the router and obtaining an IP/DHCP. Interesting, I know the 128 also has the same limitation, but again,
those were for the times of a single modem, single call. I remember Jim Selleck
worked on a version v13 that could accomodate two calls, that said, I wonder
if there is some sort of work-around.
Can you tell me where I can get the necessary REU files for 16MEG as I want to run it on my Ultimate 64.
