Does anyone know of a good way to get a hold of an old windows 95 laptop or
an old terminal computer that runs ms-dos? I looked on Amazon for a little
bit and couldn't find either one. Any help is appreciated.
(BTW, I don't necessarily need an online link or anything, just telling me
how to go about finding one is appreciated too.)

I would check craigslist, or if there are any computer surplus stores within a reasonable drive, give them a ring to see what they have.

I would also check on facebook their are a couple sites that sell only old computers and parts. I just did a search and 5 or more showed up.

    then $50 each!

Everyone has pretty much covered all the bases: Craigslist, Facebook, eBay.
You could also try local pawn shops but honestly an MS-DOS laptop would be
old enough that they would have probably gotten rid of it by now.

I have an old IBM Thinkpad iSeries 1400 sitting next to me that I'm trying to figure out why the LCD won't turn on. Was helping Dad cleaning out his
basement and found it laying in a box, lol. Especially on Laptops, be ready
for lots of hardware failure issues :P.

And unless you just really want the physical hardware, there's always DosBox and VM options for DOS and Win95 if you just want that experience. I would recommend picking up one of the many, now legendary, IBM Thinkpads of that
era if you really want the hardware, though. None of that Lenovo trash ;).

I have a Pentium 2 laying around that would run at least 98/DOS, i'm not sure if 95 ran on the P2 or not although i can't think of any reason off head why it
wouldnt. Thing is a heavy beast though to ship, if you want to make an offer let me know.

One other place you can try and it shocked me.. Salvation Army. They sell computers! I have been watching them for Commodore stuff...

Windows 98 should run reasonably well on it. I don't see any problems, providing you can find the drivers for the specific hardware.

To re-(re,re,re?)iterate what others have said, eBay and FB are great resources. FB in particular generally has "garage sale" type groups for your area, and there are some specific reto computing buy/sell groups that (usually)
    have lower prices than eBay.

Here is an idea. Not sure if it would work. But try posting a message at your
local self storage, that your looking to pickup and old computer. I know that
from time to time I have seem messages like that posted in our self storage are for like Table and Chair sets, etc... Mostly like they are trying to get rid of them. BUT.... I may work the other way around...

Should have directed that to the OP, but yeah, worth a shot.
