As an expansion to my last message, enter the world of "Automatic Decoupling
of Phone Lines" : This is how it works :
You pick up your phone and enter the two or three words that trigger the special telephone service and the phone line that you are on gets its service temporarily disconnected and replaced with a new "secure" phone line. Your phone gets its phone number and all data associated with it temporarily changed. So if someone was using a tap on your line (from the phone company) it would appear that no one is using the phone, when in fact they are, but on
a different unmonitored circuit. After the new line is finished being used after say a pre-determined time of being switched, or after a release code being stated two or three times the service will end and everything will
appear to be completely normal.
