That's like on year, I was talking with one of the area blind hams
(they can program an HT in nothing flat!), and we were talking about the
vernal equinox (the first day of fall, down under <G>), and supposedly,
"an egg will stand on its side" at that time. When the ham said "I can't visualize that" (never mind he was blind), I said "See what interesting
stuff you learn on ham radio??". <G>

It's like "How can a man, hit a deer at 300 yards...and yet, miss the toilet??!!". :P

As the saying goes "it's better to be p!$$ed off than p!$$ed on". One
of the area hams, who is one of the net controls for Arkansas Skywarn,
was doing a net one night. He had the mic in one hand, and his 2 year
son in his left hand. Well, his son wasn't happy that "Daddy wasn't
devoting his full attention to him", and proceeded to urinate all down
Daddy's arm...he had to "call for help". He said afterwards "I'll bet
that I'm the only Net Control Station who has had such an experience"!!

... I'm NOT addicted. I just use the modem all the time.
